As a distribution member

Pay Rs. 120/- for a year and save 15% to 20% on your monthly household budget !

Get together  minimum 11 families and form a buying group!  MGP representatives will address this group at your convenience and explain the details of the distribution system.  Then your buying group is registered by name and number and a group leader is elected.

Individual members fill up their individual lists and submit them to the leader who makes a consolidated list. This consolidated list is sent to JMGSS warehouses at Vile Parle and Juhu suburbs within a certain date.  A consolidated list with prices is to be picked up by the leader on certain dates.  Payment is made by cheque prior to delivery.  Delivery is done on a fixed day at one member’s place, and all the members can pick up  their ordered commodities from there.  The next month’s list and a copy of the in-house newsletter ‘Grahak’ comes along with the ordered commodities
.

In keeping with changing time, consolidated list/s can now be sent through internet to JMGSS. This obviates need to come down to Grahak Bhavan for that purpose alone - and at the same time making further consolidation more easy.

Keeping in touch with members

With such a vast membership, how does MGP keep in touch with all members?
Through its in-house newsletter ‘Grahak’ of  course.  But also through its 15 geographical divisions, which  cover the entire city and suburbs and a few centres from Thane and Raigad districts.

Each division has its own committees and all of them meet once a month. Various activities and future plans are discussed and any complaints or queries are settled on the spot.

The divisions are busy throughout the year --- organising weekly and monthly meetings, distribution of  perishable food items, organising get-togethers and awareness camps. These activities are a great help for training volunteers for consumer protection work.
